In this month’s Meet The Team post, it’s time to find out more about our friendly resident Sheffield Wednesday fan!
Hi James!
James works as a Creative Artworker within our Studio team, on one of our largest accounts. He’s been a part of the team for 5 years now (in fact, last month was his 5 year work anniversary – Thank you James)!
Day to day, you’ll usually find him laser-focused on his Mac, creating catalogue pages (though, he does enjoy helping with anything design-related really).
His favourite part of his role is making our clients’ visions a reality, and bringing whatever they need to fruition.
"What first attracted me to your career in design? Well, just look around! Practically everything we see, walk past, touch has a design aspect to it, and I thought 'I would like to have a go at that!' "
Outside work, James enjoys chilling out with his partner and her son, and coaching him at football on the weekends.
James is an avid football fan loves to watch his team Sheffield Wednesday play (and win!) whenever he gets the chance. Outside football season though, he also enjoys going to gigs at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth and building Lego models!
One of his life philosophies is around living life to the fullest – he’s a really positive person to have around 🙂
“Its great working at Telescope. I get on with everyone, everyone is so friendly, I love popping into the office to see everyone and we have some brilliant chats when we are all in! It's also good working from home too (mostly as I get to miss out on driving on the M62!) which makes it a great place to work - it's so flexible.”
5 Questions for James...
What song would you pick for karaoke?
The Ghostbusters theme tune (also my favourite film!)
Tell us a random fact about yourself
I have had a full vertebra (L3) taken out of my back when I was young (in fact I was the first ever person in history to do so) due to cancer, so I have a metal vertebra – You could call me “the bionic man”!
Where’s your favourite place in the world?
As a Sheffield Wednesday fan, it’s got to be Hillsborough.
If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Yorkshire puddings!
