At Telescope, our team enjoy getting together outside the office – and not just once a year for the good old Christmas knees-up! We try and have some kind of social activity every quarter, after our quarterly business update.
This month, our team voted for pizza, beers and shuffleboard at BrewDog in Leeds city centre (just a short drive from our office).
Never played shuffleboard? Well, in a nutshell it consists of pushing pucks down a long smooth table, to marked areas at the opposite end. This enables you to score points, but you need to be careful about going in too hard and pushing your puck off the sides or end of the table!

Not only was there shuffleboard (and excellent pints) on offer, but there was also a range of retro arcade games and pinball machines (which inevitably led to a Jake vs. Carl “Guitar Hero” battle)!
Special mentions to David, Saba, Pete and Carl (amongst others!) who all emerged as excellent shuffleboard-ers!
If you’re looking for a team activity, shuffleboard is a lot of fun, and definitely a great shout! A big thanks to the team at BrewDog Leeds for looking after us so well.
