Matalan
POS, Window Display and Direct Marketing
Introduction
The Brief
In 2022, we were excited to partner with Matalan on their summer “Holiday Shop” and Christmas POS and window display campaigns.
We had integrated with Matalan’s internal marketing team and their other suppliers over an 18-month period as an interim supplier, giving them the breathing space they needed whilst they assessed their resource needs and embarked upon a tender process.
Throughout this time, we delivered services in excess of £10 million. This not only included these POS campaigns, but also catalogue and direct marketing campaigns, often with complex requirements.
The Process
We worked closely with Matalan’s marketing team throughout, even having a member of our team work at their head office as an implant for several days a week.
Our involvement included the concept and design development, production, and distributon of of all of the POS elements for the campaigns. Alongside Matalan’s internal team, we comp shopped and researched to create two unique campaigns, which would resonate with their customer.
We gave advice on which substrates would deliver the best results, and for the Holiday Shop campaign we added elements such as polycarbonate panels for a premium and contemporary feel.
The Outcome
The POS and window kits were rolled out successfully across all their UK retail outlets (upwards of 200 stores), on budget and on time.
We received very positive feedback from Matalan, and loved working so closely with their team on these varied and fast-paced projects.
