Digital Health & Care Alliance (DHACA)
Website Design & Build
Introduction
digital team stepped up to the challenge, and created a brand new fit-for-purpose website.
Introduction
The Brief
One of the main issues with the existing DHACA website was that it was difficult to navigate, both for members using the front end of the website, and the board members using the admin area of the website.
With our client being the busy CEO of a membership organisation, it was important that our communication was concise and efficient. We scheduled in weekly calls with DHACA and our digital team there to keep the project moving forward at all times.
The Challenge
The main challenge with this website build was the nature of DHACA and how it operates. They are (in their own words!) “a free-to-join member-driven organisation, dedicated to supporting digital health companies with their growth and expansion plans”.
Managing the site structure to accommodate the membership model, and the extra functionality that needed to be built to accommodate that was one of the key things that was particularly different to other sites we’ve worked on. We loved stepping up to the plate to make it happen!
The Solution
As per the clients’ requirements, we built the new site using WordPress in a very user-friendly way. It has a clean, modern framework with easy-to-use backend features. This makes updating the site straightforward for the team at DHACA – a far cry from their old web solution!
Rob (one of our brilliant web developers) used some interesting technologies to enable e-commerce features and site member restriction. For example, some areas of the website, such as blog posts and webinars can now be locked behind a paywall, if desired. We also added an integrated event ticketing system.
