Canterbury Travel
Introduction

The Brief
Canterbury Travel wanted to create two beautifully crafted children’s books to enhance their Lapland holiday offerings.
The first book was a festive storybook, designed to be presented to children in Lapland. The second was an interactive “Lapland Diary”, a keepsake for children to record their holiday adventures through themed prompts and illustrations.
However, with supply chain issues and limited UK production capacity during peak season, the client had faced serious challenges meeting their delivery schedule. Having successfully partnered with us for over a decade on brochure printing and distribution, Canterbury Travel knew they could turn to us to help make it happen.
The Solution
Our print experts stepped in to manage the entire process from print to delivery. Our team:
Provided artwork correction and prepress support to ensure flawless reproduction quality
Managed premium sheet-fed printing and case binding to deliver a high-end finish
Built a bespoke supply chain, capable of meeting the project’s demanding turnaround
Oversaw international logistics and customs administration, ensuring smooth transport to Finland
Freight logistics and complex customs requirements added some extra challenge, but our established network and proactive coordination meant every stage ran seamlessly.

The Outcome
Despite the critical timeline and logistical hurdles, both books were produced and delivered on time, cementing our reputation for reliability and quality under pressure.
The finished books were beautifully bound, vibrant, and durable. They’re sure to become cherished keepsakes for families visiting Lapland, and capturing the magic of their experience.
Following the success of the first run, Telescope has since produced a second annual edition of the Lapland Diary, and we continue to support Brooklyn Travel (Canterbury Travel’s parent company) with travel brochure printing and promotional direct mail campaigns.
