At Telescope, we give every team member a paid volunteering day to give a helping hand to our charity of the year. This year, we voted to support Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm.
So yesterday, five of our team headed down to Lineham Farm, tasked with painting banqueting chairs! Not only does the farm host school residential trips, but they also raise funds for Leeds Children’s Charity by hosting weddings on site. The newly-painted chairs will be used for these weddings, and giving them a new lease of life has meant the charity have not had to buy new ones.
Fortunately the weather was lovely, so the team managed to get some fresh air as a bonus! They sanded and painted a whopping 76 chairs, which was a really rewarding task.
The team even got the moral support of the neighbouring goats, who occasionally popped over to see how we were getting on!
