Hi Jake!
And “Hello 2022”! Not only are we now in a brand new year, it’s also the start of a brand new role for Jake, as our new Account Manager.
When it comes to product data-driven marketing there’s often a lot of plates to spin: the workflow has to be effective as the visual design. But, as industry-leaders in catalogue and website production, with 20 years experience of creating bespoke workflows and projects, we have the solutions to help you work smarter!
So where does Jake come in? Well, his new role essentially involves finding the perfect match, to help provide answer to our clients’ problems. (Think of him like your own personal Cilla Black).

“I love the ideas stage of a project, particularly where it comes to problem solving. I love it when a client (or potential client) comes to us with an almighty obstacle to get around, and we get to work out the best route to take, to achieve their end game. Whether that's time constraints, tight budgets or just creative ideas generating. ”

Jake has been with us for 5 years now, working his way up from Artworker to Project Lead (which was his role until earlier this month).
In his time at Telescope, one of Jake’s favourite projects has been developing the PIM (Product Inventory Management) part of our Hub system and working out ways to get the product data from our clients into the PIM and onto their website and catalogue pages. One of the most satisfying (but time-consuming!) parts of this was cleansing the data, so that it was in perfect condition to be output into different marketing streams.
We can’t wait to see where his journey goes next!
“It was definitely the people who attracted me to working at Telescope. You'll find, collectively, 100 years plus experience in the industry, in the office. With each and everyone of them approachable, funny and human.”
5 Questions for Jake...
When you’re not at work, what do you like to get up to?
All sorts – I enjoy socialising with some good food and live music. I also have a giant reading list of comic books to catch-up on.
What’s your party trick
I have this uncanny talent for winding people up in the office. It’s my calling in life to get a reaction out of people.
[Yes – He really does…!]

My three items would be completely unnecessary. A Gameboy, a game and a massive pack of batteries… Great until the batteries run out!
Where’s your favourite place in the world?
My living room on a Sunday morning. Especially in autumn/winter when it’s raining outside and the fire is on.
Tell us a random fact about yourself!
